Highlander Partners Announces the Sale of Martin, Fletcher to Parallon Business Solutions
Dallas, Texas – December 4, 2012 – Highlander Partners, L.P., a Dallas-based private investment firm, today announced that Martin, Fletcher, one of its portfolio companies, has been acquired by Parallon Business Solutions, a subsidiary of HCA Holdings, Inc. The acquisition bolsters Parallon’s leadership in the healthcare industry.
Headquartered in Irving, TX, Martin, Fletcher is a leading provider of locum tenens and permanent placement healthcare staffing services. It has served over 2,000 hospitals and clinics nationwide since its founding in 1999. Highlander made its investment in Martin, Fletcher in 2005, when the company was focused predominantly on permanent placements of physicians and nurses. Subsequently, Highlander oversaw the firm’s aggressive and highly successful expansion into locum tenens area that started in 2008 and continued through the downturn in the economy. Martin, Fletcher’s strength in locum tenens sector will broaden Parallon’s service offering and reinforce its position as one of the leading healthcare services firms in the country.
